 IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump is generally driven by an electric motor. Before starting the pump, the pump body and suction pipeline are filled with liquid.  When the impeller rotates at high speed, the impeller drives the liquid between the blades to rotate together. Due to the centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the outer edge of the impeller (the flow rate can increase to 15~25m/s), and the kinetic energy also increases.  When the liquid enters the pump casing, due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel in the volute-shaped pump casing, the liquid flow rate gradually decreases, and part of the kinetic energy is converted into static pressure energy, so the liquid flows out along the discharge port at a higher pressure.  At the same time, a certain vacuum is formed at the center of the impeller because the liquid is thrown out, and the pressure Pa at the liquid surface is higher than that at the center of the impeller. Therefore, the liquid in the suction pipe enters the pump under the action of the pressure difference.  The impeller keeps rotating, and the liquid is continuously sucked in and pressed out.  Since the centrifugal pump can transport liquid mainly due to centrifugal force, it is called IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump.

Product Usage

 1. The IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump is designed according to the performance and dimensions stipulated in the international standard ISO2858. It is mainly composed of a pump body, a pump cover, an impeller, a shaft, a sealing ring, a bushing and a suspension bearing.

 2. The pump body and pump cover of the IH single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump are split from the back of the impeller, which is commonly known as a rear door structure.  Its advantage is that it is convenient for maintenance. During maintenance, the pump body, suction pipeline, discharge pipeline and motor need not be moved. Only the intermediate connecting piece of the extended coupling is removed, and the rotor part can be withdrawn for maintenance.

 3. The casing (i.e. pump body and pump cover) of the IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump constitutes the working chamber of the pump.  The impeller, shaft and rolling bearings are the rotor of the pump.  The suspension bearing component supports the rotor part of the pump, and the rolling bearing is subject to the radial force and axial force of the pump.

 4. IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump In order to balance the axial force of the pump, most pumps are equipped with sealing rings in front and behind the impeller, and are equipped with balance holes on the rear cover plate of the impeller. The axial sealing ring of the IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump is composed of a packing gland, a packing ring and a packing to prevent air intake or large amounts of water leakage.  If the impeller of the pump is balanced, the cavity filled with soft packing is connected to the impeller suction inlet. If the liquid at the impeller inlet is in a vacuum state, it is easy for air to enter along the surface of the shaft sleeve, so a packing ring is installed in the packing cavity to pass through.  The small hole in the pump cover leads the pressure water in the pump chamber to the packing ring for sealing.  If the impeller of the pump does not have a balance hole, since the liquid pressure on the back of the impeller is greater than the atmospheric pressure, there will be no air leakage problem, so the packing ring does not need to be installed.

 6. In order to avoid shaft wear, a shaft sleeve is installed where the shaft passes through the packing chamber.  There must be an O-ring seal between the sleeve and the shaft to prevent air intake or water leakage along the mating surface.

 7. The transmission mode of the IH type single-stage single-suction chemical centrifugal pump is connected to the motor through an extended elastic coupling. The rotation direction of the pump, viewed from the driving end, is clockwise.
